Burger Fest

BURGER FEST

This was my first Burger Fest and I think it was fun. Even though we had somes problems before and we weren't totally ready, it turned out to be perfect. We named out burgers iBurgers. 

We were such a good team, we are all friends and we were cheering each other to keep us smiling. We all worked together at the end, but before the day of the burger fest some members of the team were doing something while others took care of something else.

Before the event we were so stressed out about the whole thing but during the event we were all having fun even though we were being to get tired. The was a lot of sun so it was really warm which made it even harder not to be tired, that is why we were yelling and cheering, to keep the energy going. 

Our burger had an special ingridient, which was apple. It was such a delicious burger, I'm not saying this because it was mine, It really was. 

People would come and say "hey, I heard this burger is really nice" and then they would buy one. 

We mixed the meat with bacon and then we had apple slices with bbq. On top of that we made like a sauce which had apple, apple juice, olive oil, natural yogurt, salt and pepper. It had a salad that had lettuce,cramberries and nuts. We add chips as a side plate. 

We settle everything down and started cooking so we could be ready when the event started. When the judges arrived we gave them a burger divided into 4 slices so they all could taste it. 

We sold 270 or so burgers, which is a big number and it was our first burger fest so I think it went pretty well. It was a great experience and I'm looking forward to doing it again. 

Why? What for?

I studied this field because I like to travel, especially before I’m leaving, I like it when we’re organizing our whole trip; therefore I like to arrange trips. I like to see the expressions on people faces when you do something that turned out to be better than they expected, for example when you cook for them and they really enjoy the food. I really like to make people feel comfortable when they come to my house, so I would like to make people feel as if they were at their own house when they come to my hotel. 

I have the ability to talk with people especially when I dont know them. I like to meet new people and I do not have problems doing so. I am creative and I like to imagine new ways to 

doing things other people wouldn't think about. 

I believe that when you want to think about a decision quickly, the first decision is the one that came to your mind first, I can solve problems quickly because I don't like them so I try to solve them as soon as possible.

The field I'm studying suits for me perfectly, i have no doubts about it, the only thing I wonder is ¿Will I be good enough in the future? I surely want to be good enough but I have to work really hard to get where I want to be. 

Everything that I study right now is teaching me the whole field, I believe that the more I learn the better. I need to gain experience before I gradute so when I go to the real world and work I would know what to do and how to do things better. I have to give the best of me if I want to make a difference not caring if it is going to be hard because I know it will but I'm not going to give up. 

The most important thing right now is to be sure that I am made for this field, that I like it, that I make it more like a hobby than a job. I have to enjoy everything and make the best of it, obviously there are going to be hard times but that is when you realize how much you like it and you have to overcome them and learn from them. 

My motivations are my family, my dreams, my goals and my grandmother, who has just passed away. I promised her I was going to make all my dreams come true no matter how I hard they could be and never taking my eyes off my goals.

I want to start being professional now, I want to achieve as much experince as I can. The places where I would to work are hotels or spas. I want to own a Boutique Hotel with a really nice spa, but I know that to get there I have to work somewhere else first. I know I will have a boss and I have to follow their orders, I'm going to be told what to do and sometimes I'm not going to like it but I have to understand. When I have enough experience I would become independent and own my Boutique Hotel, ot at least I am looking foward to doing it.
